Friendship trouble with a jerk friend?

I think she talks about you behind your back because shes scared to say it to your face because she doesnt know how you'll react. and maybe she just wants someone to talk to her so she will talk to someone she barely knows.If you want to do something right you should confront her, but just her no other friends so then you will be actually concernd with why she does it rather than thinking of ways to not be her friend. i am in no way trying to be mean either, just trying to help =)
