Is this really true?

i have been told that when your cervix feels as if its open and releases lots of cm close to when your supposed to be due on, its actually a sign of early preg, i would love to know whether this is true or not, did not check mine, but just wandering if this is true before i even consider checking, i am due on the 1st, and waiting to see outcome for this month, hopefully i see a poss
